Job summary

GCI Residential in Streetsboro, OH is seeking a Make Ready Technician to prepare vacant apartments for new residents and support maintenance operations across Settler's Landing.

You will perform light maintenance, basic landscaping and inspections, and assist the maintenance team to ensure units meet electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and drywall standards. A non-traditional schedule is required.

Qualifications

• General maintenance experience/knowledge in HVAC, Plumbing, Carpentry, Electrical preferred
• Dedication to exceeding the needs of all customers with an ability to build and maintain relationships
• Demonstrate thoroughness, self-motivation and organization when accomplishing tasks
• Ability to work a non-traditional schedule including evenings, weekends and on-call hours as needed

Responsibilities

• Responsible for light maintenance, i.e., 'trashing' vacant apartments, removing carpet, etc.
• Responsible for light landscaping duties, i.e., weeding, watering, planting flowers, etc.
• Routinely inspects and maintains buildings and property to ensure appearance of the community is consistent with company standards and any applicable federal, state and local laws
• Assist Maintenance staff in ensuring Make Ready Units are consistent with the basic principles of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and drywall, appliance, keys and locks
• Snow removal when needed
• Provides high quality customer service according to GCI's customer service principles in order to maximize resident retention
