Job summary

GCI Residential is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for Settler's Landing in Streetsboro, OH. Lead the maintenance team to ensure safe, clean apartment homes and a high level of resident satisfaction.

You will oversee repairs across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and exterior systems, while coordinating with the Property Manager and keeping expenses in check.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years in multifamily apartment maintenance.
• Prior supervisory experience is required.
• Knowledge and experience repairing plumbing, electrical, carpentry items, building exteriors and appliances.
• Ability to use electronic communication professionally and efficiently.
• Dedication to exceeding the needs of customers with strong relationship-building.
• Demonstrate thoroughness, self-motivation and organization.
• Ability to work non-traditional hours including evenings, weekends and on-call.
• Must be able to live on-site.

Responsibilities

• Schedule the service needed to maintain the community appearance and resident safety.
• Provide technical and project direction to the team to manage priorities and deadlines.
• Respond to a wide variety of residential service requests in a timely, professional manner.

• Control expenses and anticipate future maintenance needs.
• Collaborate with the Property Manager to maintain a community residents are proud to call home.

What You'll Do

• Schedule the service support needed to maintain the overall appearance of the community and ensure safety of all residents.
• Provide technical and project direction to your team in order to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
• Utilize your troubleshooting skills to respond to a wide variety of residential service requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Prepare apartment homes for rent by performing various repairs in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, carpentry, building exteriors and appliances.
• Control expenses and anticipate future maintenance needs.
• Work together with Property Manager to create and maintain a community residents are proud to call home.

Requirements

What We Need:

• A minimum of 3 years in multifamily apartment maintenance
• Prior supervisory experience

• Ability to work a non-traditional schedule including evenings, weekends and on -call hours
• Must be able to live on-site

Education, Licenses, And Certifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• EPA certification and substantial experience in making HVAC related repairs
