Job summary

Goldberg Companies/GCI Residential is seeking a Make Ready Technician for the Legacy Concord community in Concord, NC. You will perform light maintenance, assist with turnovers, and help maintain the property to the highest standards, contributing to resident satisfaction.

Qualified applicants have maintenance experience in HVAC, Plumbing, Carpentry or Electrical, a High School Diploma, and a valid driver's license. A flexible schedule including evenings and weekends is required.

• Ability to work a non-traditional schedule including evenings, weekends and on-call hours as needed

Responsibilities

• Light maintenance, e.g., trashing vacant apartments and removing carpet
• Light landscaping duties, e.g., weeding, watering, planting flowers
• Routinely inspects and maintains buildings and property to ensure appearance aligns with company standards and laws
• Assist Maintenance staff to ensure Make Ready Units meet basic electrical, plumbing, mechanical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, drywall, appliance, keys and locks standards
• Snow removal when needed
• Provide high-quality customer service to maximize resident retention

Our Make Ready Technicians are instrumental in maintaining the facility at their community and develop standards that have a positive impact on resident renewals and customer satisfaction.

What you'll do:

• Responsible for light maintenance, i.e., 'trashing' vacant apartments, removing carpet, etc.


• Responsible for light landscaping duties, i.e., weeding, watering, planting flowers, etc.


• Routinely inspects and maintains buildings and property to ensure appearance of the community is consistent with company standards and any applicable federal, state and local laws


• Assist Maintenance staff in ensuring Make Ready Units are consistent with the basic principles of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and drywall, appliance, keys and locks


• Snow removal when needed


• Provides high quality customer service according to GCI’s customer service principles in order to maximize resident retention
