Job summary

North Shore Gardens in Louisville, KY is seeking a Make Ready Technician to prep vacant apartments, handle work orders, and perform general maintenance to keep residents’ homes inviting.

You’ll work with your hands, be on-call for emergencies, and contribute to a supportive team that values craftsmanship and reliability. The role requires 1–5 years of hands-on maintenance experience; EPA/CPO preferred; valid driver’s license required.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years of hands-on maintenance experience (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, etc.).
• Proficiency in at least one major trade area.
• EPA certification preferred.
• CPO certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Prep vacant apartments to market-ready condition.
• Handle work orders with skill, urgency, and a smile.
• Perform general maintenance including light plumbing, electrical, painting, HVAC, and appliance repair.
• Keep grounds and common areas clean and inviting.
• Support preventative maintenance and inspections.
• Pitch in with special projects, pool upkeep, and seasonal tasks.
• Stay alert and on-call for emergency maintenance needs.
• Work safely, efficiently, and with pride because your work matters.

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1–5 years of hands-on maintenance experience (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, etc.)
• Proficiency in at least one major trade area

• Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and reliable transportation
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs, climb ladders, and work outdoors in all conditions
• Excellent communication and professionalism with residents and team members
