Job summary

MCC Label is seeking a Make Ready Production Support/Press Operator Assistant in Ohio to assist with setup and support of printing presses per specifications and customer requirements. The role emphasizes safety compliance, changeover support, and maintaining cleanliness and organization in the workspace.

The ideal candidate will be capable of reading job tickets, lifting up to 40 lbs, and working in a fast-paced team environment. Print shop experience is a plus, and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination.
• Ability to read and understand a job ticket.
• Ability to read a ruler and pass a ruler test.
• Ability to pass eye test.
• Ability to differentiate colors (color test).
• Ability to input data into computer.
• Ability to work in a team with urgency for on-time completion.
• Self-motivated and able to follow instructions.
• Ability to stand and move around press area for long periods.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all company and safety policies and procedures.
• Attains and maintains defined job objectives for planning and execution of jobs and quick changes.
• Assist in external make-ready operations during changeovers (label jobs).
• Assist in external clean-up activities after changeovers.
• Clean ink pans and ancillary equipment.
• Strip plates from cylinders.
• Locate dies to and from the press.
• May work with a press operator to view labels with a strobe light.
• Meet MCC and customer quality specs; complete QA sheet if required.
• Maintain cleanliness of machinery and workspace.
• Work overtime as needed and assigned.
• Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.
