Job summary

Edward Rose & Sons is seeking a Make Ready Maintenance Technician to join our on-site operations team in Champaign, IL. You will help ensure every vacant apartment is restored to market-ready quality and completed on schedule for new residents.

The role requires experience in building maintenance (drywall, painting, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, flooring) and HVAC, with a willingness to train. You will be responsible for repairs, paperwork, and supporting residents and teammates.

Qualifications

• HVAC Certification or experience is preferred but willing to train.
• Possess own tools and basic repair skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Restore vacant apartment homes to market-ready status.
• Complete full vacant turn processes to meet move-in deadlines (drywall, painting, caulking, grouting).
• Repair or replace appliances, faucets, hardware, windows; carpentry and tile work.
• Complete administrative paperwork as necessary.
• Assist with snow and ice removal as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
