Job summary

Edward Rose & Sons is seeking a Make Ready Maintenance Technician to join our on-site operations team in South Bend, Indiana. You will restore vacant apartments to market-ready condition and handle turn processes to meet move-in deadlines.

The role requires maintenance experience with drywall, painting, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, flooring, and appliance repair; HVAC experience is preferred. You will communicate with residents, use basic computer tools, and maintain professional appearance.

Qualifications

• Experience in building maintenance including drywall, painting, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, flooring, appliance repair, and HVAC preferred but training available.
• HVAC certification or experience preferred but training may be provided.
• Able to provide own tools and maintain a professional appearance.
• Good communication with residents and co-workers; basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Restore vacant apartments to market-ready status.
• Complete full vacant turn process to meet move-in deadlines (drywall, painting, caulking, grouting).
• Repair or replace appliances, faucets, locks, windows; perform carpentry and tile work.
• Handle administrative paperwork as needed.
• Assist with snow and ice removal as required.
