Job summary

Edward Rose & Sons, LLC is hiring a Make Ready Maintenance Technician to join our on-site team in Kalamazoo, MI. You will restore vacant homes to market-ready condition and ensure timely turnarounds to meet move-in deadlines.

Responsibilities include repairs, painting, drywall work, and basic carpentry, plus administrative tasks. We offer comprehensive benefits and opportunities for advancement with compensation starting at $20.33 per hour or higher.

Qualifications

Previous experience in building maintenance including drywall, painting, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, flooring, appliance repair, and HVAC is preferred but training may be provided.
HVAC certification or practical experience is preferred but willing to train.
Must possess own tools and maintain a professional appearance per policy.
Ability to communicate effectively with residents and co-workers.
Basic computer skills and comfort with software and apps.
Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Restore vacant apartment homes to market-ready status.
Complete full vacant turn processes to meet move-in deadlines (drywall, painting, caulking, grouting).
Repair or replace appliances, faucets, locks, windows and perform carpentry/ceramic tile tasks.
Complete administrative paperwork as necessary.
Assist with snow and ice removal when required.
Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
