Job summary

The Trustees of Reservations is seeking a Major Gift Officer to manage a regional portfolio of about 150 donors and prospects, with a focus on gifts of $25,000 and above, aiming for over $1M in annual gifts.

You’ll advance The Trustees’ $325M+ campaign, identify opportunities, and build donor relationships across Massachusetts, including key regions like Boston and the South Shore. This is a full-time, exempt, hybrid role in MA.

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years of fundraising experience with demonstrated success in major gifts.
• Proven front-line fundraiser with experience building and managing a donor portfolio and securing five- and six-figure gifts.
• Articulate, strategic, solution-oriented and entrepreneurial with strong listening, writing, and speaking skills.
• Self-motivated, organized, and prepared for every donor interaction.

Responsibilities

• Manage a regional portfolio of approximately 150 major gift donors and prospects.
• Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors with tailored strategies.
• Advance the $325M+ comprehensive campaign by aligning donor interests with campaign priorities.
• Prepare compelling campaign proposals, donor briefings, and stewardship updates.
