Job summary

Santa Fe Animal Shelter & Humane Society seeks a Major Gifts Officer to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward individual donors capable of significant philanthropic investments in our mission. The MGO will manage a portfolio of current and prospective major donors and build relationships that inspire long-term support.

The role acts as a key advisor to the Executive Team, helping secure leadership-level gifts, multi-year commitments, capital gifts, planned gifts, and special project funding

Qualifications

• Experience identifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding major donors (5- and 6-figure gifts).
• Ability to serve as advisor to the Executive Team and collaborate across departments to align donor interests with organizational priorities.
• Proven track record in major gifts fundraising and donor portfolio management.
