South Carolina Institute on the Prevention of Sexual Violence on College Campuses (SCIP) with Lander University at the Greenville, South Carolina Campus location, seeks a dynamic and visionary major gifts officer. The position will be responsible for identifying, cultivating, solicitating and stewarding constituents to generate major gifts in support of The Institute. The individual will be donor focused and committed to enhancing relationships that will result in the advancement of the Institute’s long-term goals. The key priority of this position is to close major gifts from $25,000 to $500,000.
Bachelor's degree required. Minimum of 3–6 years of successful experience in major gift fundraising or a related field. Demonstrated ability to secure five- and six-figure gifts. Proficiency in CRM systems, preferably Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a professional and donor-centric demeanor. Valid driver's license and safe driving history are required. Must have strong skills in providing excellent customer service and demonstrate strong ethics. Advanced degree or CFRE.
Knowledge of fundraising principles and experience developing prospect relationships. Develop and present proposals to prospects/donors for funding. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Exceptional organizational and analytical skills.
