Position Overview

Fraser is seeking a Major Gifts Officer to support the Director of Development in securing major and capital gifts. The ideal candidate is proactive with proven success in major gift fundraising.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in development, business, sales, communications, marketing, or related field; Master’s preferred.
  • CFRE or similar certification preferred.
  • Proven success managing major gift operations for nonprofits or similar sectors.
  • Minimum 5+ years in major gifts fundraising.
  • Valid Minnesota Driver’s License.
Responsibilities
Fundraising
  • Manage a portfolio of high-net-worth donors, foundations, and corporations ($25,000+ gifts).
  • Collaborate with leadership and board members to leverage relationships.
  • Develop strategies to secure multi-year and capital gifts, including sponsorships.
  • Support fundraising campaigns, including naming opportunities and donor recognition.
  • Qualify new prospects through research and engagement.
  • Conduct donor meetings, presentations, and site visits.
  • Create proposals, reports, and stewardship materials.
  • Participate in donor events and campaign activities.
  • Stay informed on Fraser’s programs and funding landscape.
  • Represent Fraser publicly, sharing stories and organizational needs.
  • Ensure proper recording of donor funds and communicate with finance.
  • Report progress and challenges to leadership.
  • Follow fundraising ethics and best practices.
Administrative
  • Work with the Development team and committees to plan and execute fundraising strategies.
  • Develop annual and long-term fundraising plans with clear goals and timelines.
  • Track and report on donor engagement and gift processing.
  • Participate in professional associations like the Minnesota Planned Giving Association.
Location & Compensation
  • Hybrid/Remote, Richfield, MN.
  • Salary: $70,000 - $80,000.
