Job summary

Habitat for Humanity of Long Island is seeking an accomplished fundraising professional to lead its development efforts, secure major gifts, and drive revenue growth across Nassau and Suffolk Counties.

The Director of Development will design and manage a comprehensive fundraising strategy, cultivate donors and corporate partners, supervise the outreach team, and collaborate with leadership to advance capital projects and home-building initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience securing major gifts and leading fundraising teams.
• Ability to develop long-term fundraising strategies and revenue plans.
• Proven donor relations and partnership-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy to drive revenue growth.
• Cultivate, solicit, and steward major donors and corporate partners.
• Supervise and mentor fundraising staff and volunteers to achieve goals.
• Track performance with KPIs and dashboards to ensure accountability.
• Collaborate with the CEO and Board on campaigns and community partnerships.
