Job summary

The Nature Conservancy in New York seeks an Associate Director of Development to implement multi-year fundraising strategies, focusing on long-term donor relationships and major gifts. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 6 years related experience in fundraising or sales.
• Experience building and maintaining long-term relationships with fundraising constituents.
• Experience in asking for and closing gifts of $100,000 or more.
• Experience managing multiple prospects and donors.
• Experience with fundraising principles and practices.
• Exposure to capital campaigns, major gifts or planned giving.

Responsibilities

• Implement and coordinate multi-year strategies for gift prospects including individual, foundation and corporate donors.
• Supervise LI development team members and collaborate with the Long Island Chapter Director.
• Build a portfolio of qualified donors and develop impactful relationships across geographies and departments.
• Support conservation strategies across New York State, as well as nationally and internationally.
