Job summary

Augusta University seeks a Prospect Development Analyst to support fundraising strategy with research, portfolio insights, and data-driven analysis across the donor lifecycle.

You will blend prospect research, management, and analytics to provide information, structure, and strategic support to development officers, identify new prospects, maintain portfolio health, ensure data integrity, and generate actionable intelligence for leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-depth research on individuals, corporations, and foundations using biographical, organizational, and financial tools and sources.
• Analyze and synthesize biographical, financial, professional, and philanthropic information to assess financial capacity, inclination, and affinity.
• Interpret and translate complex financial, legal and corporate language into composed briefings for targeted audiences.
• Ensure prospect knowledge is recorded in the donor database and accessible to fundraising staff to support cultivation and solicitation strategies.
• Monitor news, wealth events, and external data sources to surface emerging prospects and philanthropic trends.
• Assist with the development and maintenance of high-quality major gift portfolios by monitoring activity, stage movement, and prospect engagement.
• Assist with prospect assignment processes, ensuring alignment with institutional priorities and policies.
• Assist with tracking and documenting prospect stage changes, assignment updates, and lifecycle movement in the donor database.
• Segment wealth screening results into manageable groups of prospects for qualification assignment.
• Provide preliminary research on prospects to support pipeline development, including leadership annual giving capacity ($10K-$20K).
