Job summary

FIRE in Philadelphia is seeking a proactive Development professional to identify and cultivate major donors who can fund FIRE’s mission through thoughtful outreach and relationship-building. You will own prospect research, mapping, and tailored engagement plans to convert relationships into donors.

You will manage a portfolio of prospective supporters, collaborating with Philanthropy Officers and leadership to advance opportunities and report progress. Remote work is hybrid with travel as needed.

• Ability to research and map prospects, and develop tailored outreach strategies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal instincts.

Responsibilities

• Find FIRE’s next major donors and qualify individuals with capacity and inclination to make significant gifts.
• Turn prospects into relationships via personalized outreach and engagement strategies.
• Open doors through FIRE’s network with donors, board members, and staff to expand the donor universe.
• Create compelling, personalized materials to connect donors’ interests with FIRE’s mission.
• Monitor news and trends to spot opportunities for outreach and donor engagement.
• Build and continually improve FIRE’s donor pipeline and track results in Salesforce.
