Job summary

Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression (FIRE) in the United States seeks a proactive donor development professional to identify major donors, map connections, and build a portfolio of prospective supporters. You will craft personalized outreach and advance relationships with FIRE’s mission at the center.

You will work on a hybrid schedule with some travel, collaborating with philanthropic leadership to grow the donor pipeline and secure significant gifts for FIRE’s work.

Qualifications

• Experience identifying major donors and building donor pipelines.
• Ability to craft personalized outreach and donor communications.
• Comfort with research, prospect mapping, and relationship development.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of donor databases is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Find and qualify individuals with capacity and inclination to give significant gifts.
• Build and manage a portfolio of prospective donors and create engagement strategies.
• Cultivate warm introductions through FIRE’s network and events.
• Develop personalized emails, letters, and materials to connect interests with FIRE’s mission.
• Monitor news and figures in the sector to spot opportunities for outreach.
• Collaborate with Philanthropy Officers to advance promising relationships and track results in Salesforce.
