Job summary

Maxime’s, a private members club on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, seeks an experienced Maître D' to lead reception operations and elevate member experiences. You will manage reservations, guest flow, and ensure flawless service in collaboration with the reception and service teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Maître D', Head Host, Reception Supervisor, or similar guest-facing experience in fine dining or luxury hospitality.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional appearance and polished demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Provide a warm, gracious, and professional welcome to all members and guests.
• Manage reservations, seating arrangements, waitlists, and table allocations to maximize guest experience and operational efficiency.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of member preferences and special requests.
• Coordinate with Reception, Floor Managers, and service teams to ensure seamless guest flow and communication.
• Handle guest inquiries, requests, and concerns with professionalism and discretion.
• Ensure members and guests are recognized and addressed appropriately.
• Review reservations, guest lists, and function sheets prior to service.
• Maintain accurate reservation records and guest notes within the reservation system.
• Uphold the club's service standards, policies, and member experience expectations.
• Support training and development of reception and hosting team members.
• Foster positive relationships with members and guests while anticipating their needs.
