The Plantation at Ponte Vedra Beach is seeking a Building/Maintenance Technician to perform repairs, maintenance, and inspections across facilities. You will handle electrical, painting, and carpentry tasks, interpret blueprints, and manage preventative maintenance schedules.

Qualifications

  • Mechanical aptitude and basic electrical/plumbing knowledge.

  • Professional demeanor, adaptability, and sound judgment in fast-paced environments.
  • Certifications (HVAC, EPA, etc.) are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs to buildings, systems and equipment in indoor and outdoor settings.
  • Maintain records, update work orders and communicate with supervisors.
  • Order parts and supplies as directed by supervisor within budget and project needs.
  • Interpret architectural blueprints and infrastructure schematics to perform preventative maintenance, testing, diagnosing, and repairs.
  • Coordinate outside contractors and vendors for building/facility equipment and systems (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, fire safety).
  • Inspect and maintain safety equipment.
  • May be on call for emergency repairs.

Job Title: Building/Maintenance Technician

Location: Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida

FLSA Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt

Department: 10-Maintenance

Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor

Job Summary:

The Facilities Repair and Maintenance Technician is responsible for repairs, adjustments, and ongoing maintenance of facilities. Performs electrical, painting, and/or carpentry repairs of fixtures and equipment across all facilities and lifestyle venues. Conducts periodic inspections to determine maintenance work required. Maintains all equipment necessary to perform assigned duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs to buildings, systems and equipment in indoor and outdoor settings
  • Maintain records, update work orders and communicate with supervisors
  • Order parts and supplies as directed by supervisor in accordance to budget and project
  • Interpret architectural blueprints and infrastructure schematics to perform preventative maintenance, testing, diagnosing, and repairs
  • Coordinating outside contractors and vendors providing services for building/facility equipment, machinery, or operational systems (e.g., lift systems, air-conditioning/heating, plumbing, and fire safety systems, etc.)
  • Inspecting and maintaining safety equipment
  • May be on call for emergency repairs

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high.
