Job summary

Senior Resource Group in Santa Barbara, CA is hiring a full-time Maintenance Technician to perform plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, and HVAC tasks. You will fix resident repair requests, prepare units for new renters, inspect systems, respond to emergencies, and maintain grounds and safety.

The role requires at least 2 years of similar experience, a valid driver's license, and EPA HVAC handling certification where applicable. Competitive pay and benefits are provided.

Responsibilities

• Daily Work Orders: Fix resident repair requests, including plumbing leaks, broken appliances, and electrical issues.

• Preventative Maintenance: Inspect building systems, HVAC filters, lighting, and common areas to prevent major breakdowns.
• Emergency Response: Handle urgent after-hours issues like gas leaks, major water breaks, or electrical failures.
• Grounds and Safety: Maintain property appearance, clear walkways, and follow safety and building codes.

Qualifications

• Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, and HVAC systems.

• Tools: Ability to use hand and power tools, multimeters, and diagnostic equipment.

• Certifications: Often requires a valid driver's license and sometimes EPA certification for handling HVAC refrigerants.

• Soft Skills: Good customer service and communication when interacting with residents and staff.
