Job Overview

Perform center-wide custodial and groundskeeping duties in compliance with government, corporate, and management directives.

• Pay: $19.00/hour plus an additional $4.93/hour (up to 40 hours/week) to offset elected benefits
• Hours: M-F, 7:00am-3:30pm
• Retirement Plan: Eligible for company 401(k) with matching after 1 year
• Vacation: Minimum of ten days per year, based on your Service Date
• Sick Time: Accrued at 1 hour per 30 hours worked, capped at 56 hours/year
• Holidays: 12 paid holidays per year

Responsibilities

Essential Duties & Job Functions:

• Plow and complete snow removal on all road systems. Apply sand to roads and pathways, and chip ice where hazardous.
• Care for lawns, including fertilization, herbicide application, mowing, watering, and establishing new lawn areas.
• Maintain trees through fertilization, pruning, watering, transplanting, and removal of hazardous or dead trees.
• Operate, repair, and maintain groundskeeping equipment.
• Reorder parts and supplies, track inventory, maintain records, and receive items from the warehouse.
• Collect and dispose of litter, trash, and debris; sweep and clean exterior steps, entrances, landings, and sidewalks.
• Maintain property with appropriate equipment and materials.
• Perform custodial duties such as floor care, restroom sanitation, vacuuming, waxing, stripping floors, carpet shampooing, wall and window washing, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces.
• Empty wastebaskets and dispose of refuse.
• Clean drinking fountains and stainless-steel surfaces.
• Restock paper and soap dispensers as needed.
• Clean door glass and restroom mirrors; maintain grounds and dumpster areas free of trash.
• Assist maintenance staff with repairs and maintenance of buildings.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment.
• Maintain accountability of students and property, adhering to safety practices.
• Foster a harassment-free, respectful environment for staff and students.
• Mentor students and promote career success standards.
• Observe and report safety violations; participate in emergency responses.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
