Job summary

Spectrum Health Systems, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Worker in Lowell, MA to support the upkeep of the inpatient treatment campus and grounds.

The role covers routine maintenance, preventive tasks and coordination with clinical leadership to ensure a safe, clean environment. The position requires at least one year of experience in maintenance or custodial services, a valid driver's license, and the ability to operate common hand and power tools.

Qualifications

• At least one year of full-time or equivalent experience in building maintenance or custodial services.
• General construction knowledge and ability preferred.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must be able to use and operate basic hand and power tools.
• Ability to interact with clients in a professional manner.

Responsibilities

• Assist Maintenance Manager and Supervisor with upkeep of plant, grounds, machinery and equipment at the Lowell site.
• May travel to other Spectrum facilities to perform similar duties.
• Coordinate with leadership to ensure facilities are well maintained.
• Direct or oversee subcontracted labor.
• Be available for early mornings, late nights or weekends for emergencies.

Job description

Location: Lowell, MA - Inpatient Treatment Programs

Pay rate: $25.00-$28.00/hour

Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week.

The Maintenance Worker is responsible for:

• Assisting the Building Maintenance Manager and the Maintenance Supervisor in the maintenance and upkeep of the physical plant and grounds as well as all machinery and equipment at the Lowell site
• Maybe traveling to other Spectrum facilities to perform similar duties
• Working with the Assistant Director of Environment of Care, the Building Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance supervisor, the Director of Inpatient Services as well as Program Managers to ensure that the facilities are well maintained
• Directing or overseeing subcontracted labor
• Being available early morning, late nights or weekends as emergencies, or other urgent needs arise

Qualifications

• At least one year of full-time or equivalent part-time experience in building maintenance and/or custodial services preferred
• General construction knowledge and ability preferred
• Must have valid driver's license
• Must have ability to use and operate basic hand and power tools
• Must display the ability to interact with clients on an appropriate, professional level
