Job summary

Spectrum Health Systems in Lowell, MA is hiring a Maintenance Worker for the Lowell site in inpatient treatment programs. You will assist the Building Maintenance Manager and supervise repairs, upkeep of the physical plant, and coordination with site leaders to ensure reliable operations.

The role requires at least one year of maintenance or custodial experience, valid driver's license, and the ability to use basic hand and power tools. Some travel to other Spectrum facilities may be necessary.

Qualifications

• At least one year of full-time or equivalent part-time experience in building maintenance and/or custodial services.
• General construction knowledge and ability preferred
• Must have valid driver’s license
• Must have ability to use and operate basic hand and power tools
• Must display the ability to interact on an appropriate, professional level

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Building Maintenance Manager and the Maintenance Supervisor in the maintenance and upkeep of the physical plant and grounds as well as all machinery and equipment at the Lowell site
• Maybe traveling to other Spectrum facilities to perform similar duties
• Working with the Assistant Director of Environment of Care, the Building Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance supervisor, the Director of Inpatient Services as well as Program Managers to ensure that the facilities are well maintained
• Directing or overseeing subcontracted labor
• Being available early morning, late nights or weekends as emergencies, or other urgent needs arise
