Job summary

High Point Inpatient Campus in Hyannis, MA is seeking a Maintenance Staff member to support facility operations across all shifts. The role requires physical maintenance, basic trades, and a professional demeanor.

You will perform repairs, routine inspections, and regulatory-compliant activities, with opportunities for on-call duties and growth within the organization.

Qualifications

  • Must have a high school diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
  • Valid MA driver's license and access to a vehicle.
  • Ability to travel to outpatient sites and respond to emergencies on call.
  • Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, construction, landscaping, and painting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Understand and follow HIPAA and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to HPAO policies and procedures.
  • Conduct daily facility walk-throughs.
  • Respond to all maintenance requests.
  • Maintain facility, grounds and amenities in safe, attractive condition.
  • Perform minor electric, plumbing, HVAC and building repairs.
  • Patch and paint as directed.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment.
  • Conduct scheduled tests and inspections.
  • Attend mandatory trainings and meetings.
  • Ensure department operations are professional and productive.
  • Conduct weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual inspections.
  • Maintain departmental documentation per policies and regulatory bodies.
  • Other duties as assigned by Director of Environmental Services.

Job description

Program & Location: High Point Inpatient Campus - Hyannis, MA
Qualifications: Ability to lift 50lbs, Valid MA Driver's License, must possess knowledge and skills needed to provide maintenance
Pay Range: $22-27/hr depending on experience
Status: Full Time, Part Time, or Per Diem
Shift: All Shifts available!

High Point & Affiliated Organizations (HPAO) is a health and human service agency whose mission is to treat and prevent substance use disorders and mental illness. High Point has programs located throughout southeastern Massachusetts, offering a full continuum of care for substance use and mental health treatment, including inpatient, outpatient, residential, and community-based services. Maintenance Staff Requirements

Must present as courteous and professional at all times.

Demonstrated flexibility and ability to perform multiple tasks.

Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to organize ideas in logical and clear fashion.

Proficient and knowledge of basic computer skills and software programs including the ability to learn, including "WorxHub".

Must have the ability to work with others in cooperative and collaborative manner.

An understanding of the relationship between substance use and mental health issues and/or self-help programs.

An understanding of boundaries and ethics.

Comply with Federal Regulations, 42 CFR Part 2, Substance Abuse Confidentiality Regulations and HIPAA Regulations.

Certification in the HPAO approved de-escalation program.

Maintenance Staff Duties & Responsibilities

  • Adherence to HPAO policies and procedures.
  • Conducts daily facility walk-throughs.
  • Respond to all maintenance requests.
  • Ensure that the facility building, grounds and amenities are maintained in safe and attractive conditions (i.e. lawn care, parking lot, building entrances, walkways and snow removal).
  • Perform minor electric, plumbing, HVAC and building repairs.
  • Patch and paint the facility as directed.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on all maintenance, lawn care, housekeeping, floor care equipment, refrigeration units and other electrical appliances.
  • Conduct all delegated scheduled tests and inspections.
  • Attend all mandatory trainings and meetings.
  • Ensure that all departmental operations are conducted in a professional and productive manner.
  • Conduct weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual inspections.
  • Ensure that all departmental documentation, as required by HPAO policies and all applicable regulatory bodies (BSAS/DPH, EOHLC, DMH, Joint Commission, etc.) are accurate and current.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Environmental Services or Site Director to ensure the safe and sanitary operation of the facility.

Maintenance Staff Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • License and vehicle required.
  • Must be able to travel to outpatient and come in for emergency on call.
  • Must have general knowledge of basic HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Construction, Landscaping, Painting.
