Job summary

S:US is seeking a Maintenance Worker for their family shelter in Brooklyn, NY. The role involves carrying out minor repairs, painting, and exterior upkeep at Dumont Avenue location. The position requires attention to safety and preventive maintenance in a residential setting.

The ideal candidate has HS diploma or GED, a NYS Driver's license, and bilingual English/Spanish communication. In-person work with comprehensive benefits is offered.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out minor repairs and general maintenance throughout assigned areas of the facility.

  • Exterior snow and ice removal and grounds upkeep including sidewalk maintenance and landscaping.
  • All other aspects of building exterior maintenance as needed.

Position Overview

S:US is seeking a Maintenance Worker for their families with children shelter in Brooklyn.


This position is located at Dumont Avenue Brooklyn, NY, 11207


SCOPE OF ROLE: Carry out minor repairs and building maintenance throughout assigned areas of the facility. This includes but is not limited to; painting, plastering, repairing furniture, maintaining smoke detectors, and fire extinguishers. Responsible for exterior snow and ice removal as well as upkeep of the grounds. This includes but is not limited to sidewalk maintenance, mowing grass, trimming shrubbery, maintaining landscaping, rodent removal, and all other aspects of the building exterior.
