The Boys’ Club of New York Inc. is seeking a maintenance worker to oversee upkeep of the clubhouse facilities and systems. You will perform skilled tasks across plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and related areas, with the ability to lift heavy loads and operate maintenance machinery.
Duties include cleaning, painting, repairs, and daily coordination with the Maintenance Superintendent, along with attending staff meetings and supporting club operations.

Maintenance workers are responsible for the maintenance and care of clubhouse facilities and equipment by possessing demonstrated skills to complete specific tasks related to plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, HVAC, or other areas of maintenance expertise. The ability to operate equipment and machinery and lift in excess of 50 pounds is required. Additionally, maintenance workers must perform general cleaning services internal and external to the Clubhouse on a daily basis.
High School diploma or GED; minimum four years’ experience performing cleaning and more skilled maintenance tasks; Must be a team player; Ability and willingness to complete tasks on schedule; Demonstrated ability to operate maintenance equipment and machinery; Ability to work on a variety of physically-demanding tasks and able to lift in excess of 50 pounds; Knowledge of building electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems as well as boilers and other elements; Experience cleaning and maintaining an indoor swimming pool desirable; Handy with tools and possess a technical aptitude; Demonstrated desire to learn on the job and advance skills; Willing to work a flexible and demanding schedule.
Knowledge of finishes, fixtures and furnishings; Identification/Understanding of Structural/Mechanical/Electrical Systems; Follow documented instructions/guidelines; Identification of repair or replacement needs beyond normal maintenance or servicing; Routine/Preventive Maintenance.
