Our Maintenance Worker is responsible for performing a wide variety of maintenance tasks associated with the care of cemetery grounds and facilities. This position works under direct supervision, individually, or with a team. Duties include grounds maintenance functions such as working with hand tools and operating equipment.

What You'll Be Doing

1. General grounds clean-up and trash disposal.
2. Clean and maintain storm drains.
3. Repair lawn damage.
4. Mow lawns in sections and gardens.
5. Trim memorial tablets.
6. Replant landscapes.
7. Apply landscape chemicals such as fertilizers, wetting agents, and herbicides.
8. Assist client families and guests with grounds maintenance requests.
9. Operate specialized equipment to move materials.
10. Assist in completing interments.
11. Assist in set-up and clean-up before and after events.
12. Install tents for funeral services.

Requirements

1. Minimum of 6 months of maintenance experience.
2. Valid California Driver’s License.
3. Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
4. Caring and professional demeanor, enjoy helping families.
5. Availability to work weekends and holidays.
6. High school diploma or GED.
7. On-site work ability.
