Champion Home Builders, Inc. in Topeka, KS is seeking a Plant Maintenance Worker to install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, and related systems to keep production running smoothly.

This non-exempt role requires inspecting equipment, performing repairs, scheduling maintenance, coordinating with production teams, and ensuring safety and quality standards. A one-year certificate or three to six months of related experience may be considered.

Qualificações

• One-year certificate or equivalent training/education.
• 3–6 months related experience and/or training.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsabilidades

• Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment.
• Dismantles defective machines and installs parts.
• Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears and other parts.
• Schedules maintenance to avoid production downtime.
• Coordinates repairs to assist production timelines.
• Installs and repairs electrical apparatus and components.
• Maintains pipe systems and hydraulic/pneumatic equipment.
• Repairs and maintains the physical structure of the establishment.
• May perform non-maintenance duties as needed.

Job Description

Job Title: Plant Maintenance Worker

FLSA Status: Non-exempt

Summary: Installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe and electrical systems by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment.
• Listens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine.
• Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
• Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
• Schedule maintenance in a manner that will not hinder the production team from meeting their scheduled timelines.
• Co-ordinates repairs in a timely manner to assist the production team in meeting their schedule timelines.
• Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
• Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
• Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment.
• May be required to perform non-maintenance duties on a temporary basis.
