Champion Home Builders, Inc. is hiring a Plant Maintenance Worker in Weiser, Idaho. The role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing machinery, electrical systems, and building infrastructure to support production.

Qualifications

• One-year certificate from college or technical school; or 3–6 months of related experience or training; or an equivalent combination.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment.
• Listens for unusual sounds from machines to detect malfunction and discuss with supervisors to diagnose problems.
• Dismantles defective machines and installs new or repaired parts.
• Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
• Schedules maintenance so production timelines are not hindered.
• Coordinates repairs to assist production teams in meeting schedules.
• Installs and repairs electrical components and transformers and wiring of machinery.
• Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipes and related hydraulic/pneumatic equipment.
• Repairs and maintains the physical structure of the establishment.
• May perform non-maintenance duties temporarily.

Job Title: Plant Maintenance Worker

FLSA Status: Non-exempt

Summary Installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe and electrical systems by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment.
• Listens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problems or repair machines.
• Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
• Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
• Schedule maintenance in a manner that will not hinder the production team from meeting their scheduled timelines.
• Coordinates repairs in a timely manner to assist the production team in meeting their scheduled timelines.
• Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
• Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
• Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment.
• May be required to perform non-maintenance duties on a temporary basis.
