Summary

The Maintenance Worker will be responsible to the Director of Facilities & Maintenance. The role involves coordinating work efforts and planning with Supervisors and staff in areas such as nursing, housekeeping, laundry, dietary, activities, accounting, office management, and Independent Living.

Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:

• Using common hand and power tools, such as screwdrivers, saws, drills, wrenches, hammers, and specialized equipment and testing devices.
• Performing regular repairs of facilities and equipment.
• Consulting with the Director of Facilities & Maintenance on repairs beyond your skills or time capacity.
• Performing preventative maintenance.
• Keeping the maintenance shop, storage rooms, boiler rooms, mechanical rooms, and outside approaches organized and clean.
• Handling specific areas such as interior and exterior lighting, gutter and storm drain cleaning, and redecorating rental units in cooperation with Independent Living.
• Performing other duties as assigned by the Director of Facilities & Maintenance.
