The City of Overland Park has a full-time Maintenance Worker position available in the Public Works Department. Starting pay is $18.45 or more per hour, depending on experience. Eligible for participation in NEW Snow Incentive Program.
Basic skill level positions requiring the ability to operate light to moderately heavy vehicles and equipment, perform assigned repairs to city streets, sidewalks, catch basins, ditch liners, right-of-ways, and related public works field facilities. Assists in the maintenance of traffic control services. Responds to emergency situations as required. Operates snow plowing equipment and participates in shift work during snow and ice removal.
No City residency requirement.
Must successfully pass a background check, drug screen, physical exam, and essential functions test.
Normal Work Schedule: 7:30 a.m.- 4:00 p.m., Mon.-Fri.
This position also participates in the NEW Snow Program Incentive with a bonus of $500 per season ($100 per month) for all responders.
