Physical Requirements: Incumbent must use - move - carry - and set up ladders and work from ladders. Use HEPA Vacuums and other cleaning devices. Frequently lifts objects weighing over 40 pounds and occasionally lifts objects over 50 pounds. Duties include work that requires physical abilities and effort in doing laboring duties that require some training or experience. Performs manual tasks with some degree of skill. Work involves some moderate to heavy physical effort as in snow shoveling. Working Conditions: Works in hot - noisy - confined spaces and is subject to all types of weather conditions. Work is accomplished outdoors and inside in areas that are confined spaces - dusty - drafty and noisy and hot. Incumbent must be able to wear a respirator - steel-toe shoes - gloves - and other safety related equipment as needed. Incumbent will work in the hospital environment - as well as shop areas and inside boiler drums during tube cleaning processes.

• Troubleshoots equipment malfunctions and failures and determines the extent of repairs and parts needed - estimated materials required - selects best work methods - techniques and trade practices and accomplishes the repair or overhaul
• Responsible for selecting and safely using proper tools - devices - manuals - references and efficient procedures
• Performs walk through inspections of buildings and initiates electronic work orders for deficiencies found
• Responsible for measuring - cutting and constructing by using standard building materials
• Constructs - installs - repairs - and modifies millwork - framing - benches - partitions - tables - and furniture with precision - ensuring exact fit - structural integrity - and adherence to close tolerances
• Utilize blueprint interpretation - shop math - and standard formulas to meet technical specifications and solve manufacturing challenges
