Job description

You will serve as a Maintenance Worker

This is a term position (more than 1 year) with an initial appointment expecting to last at least 13 months but may be extended up to a total of four years, or more based on any changes to regulations governing the number of years term appointments may last, without further competition at management's discretion.

$27.42 Per Hour (Step 01) to $31.99 Per Hours (Step 05). First time hires to the Federal government normally start at the step 1 rate.

There is no specific length of training or experience required; however, applicants must be able to demonstrate the ability to perform the basic work of the position without more than normal supervision through experience shown in the written resume and responses to the job-related task statements in this announcement.

To be basically qualified for this position applicants must meet the identified screen-out element below. Screen-Out Element: The Maintenance Mechanic performs a variety of tasks involved in the upkeep of buildings, grounds, and related structures, fixtures, and utilities, (e.g., plumbing, electrical, or industrial machinery) and related equipment.
