Job summary

US Air Mobility Command at Scott AFB Lodging Facility seeks a maintenance technician for general repairs and electrical/electronic upkeep in a 0-40 hour per week role.

Applicants must have experience with hand/power tools, read schematics, pass a pre-employment physical, hold a valid driver's license with a good driving record, and be willing to undergo a background check and random drug testing. Open to all qualified applicants through 25 September 2026.

Qualifications

• General repair and maintenance experience in plumbing, painting, plastering, electrical and carpentry.
• Specialized experience in electrical/electronic maintenance with use of test equipment such as multimeters.
• Ability to use common hand and power tools and read schematics/diagrams.
• Must pass a pre-employment physical.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and a good driving record.
• Must pass a background check.
• This is a drug testing position; incumbent is subject to random testing; position is mission essential.

About the position:

This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Scott AFB Lodging Facility. This is a flexible position, 0-40 hours per week.

Working Conditions:

Mostly inside, unsanitary conditions disagreeable odors, and subject to cuts and abrasions from use of power and hand tools. Exposed to solvents, cleaning agents, acids, etc.

Qualifying Experience:

• Must have general repair and maintenance experience in a variety of areas including common household plumbing, painting, and plastering, electrical and carpentry.
• Must have specialized experience in the field of electrical/electronic or similar maintenance, which required the use of test equipment such as multi meters, volumeters, or other similar test equipment.
• Must have the ability to use a variety of common hand and power tools and have experience in reading schematics and diagrams.
• Must satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and a good driving record.
• Must satisfactorily complete a background check.
• This is a drug testing position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use. Position is mission essential.
