Job summary

The Salvation Army in Chandler, AZ is seeking a maintenance/janitorial professional to care for facilities, grounds and equipment. The role requires lifting, repairs and routine upkeep to ensure safety and cleanliness across the corps property.

Responsibilities include completing work orders, supporting events, managing donations logistics, and maintaining records while complying with PTM/OSHA safety rules. Strong communication and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years maintenance/janitorial experience.
• Valid Arizona driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Must pass PTM background check.
• Basic skills in maintenance, repair, construction, plumbing, HVAC and landscape.
• Computer literate.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Maintains all facilities, equipment and grounds in a clean and safe condition at all times.
• Complete assigned maintenance work orders in a timely manner.
• Assist with regular inspections and preventative maintenance as needed.
• Notify supervisor of critical maintenance issues as observed while maintaining facilities.
• Assist with support for all special and program events as needed.
• Assist with pickup, delivery and distribution of donations & supplies as needed.
• Comply with all PTM, OSHA, fire and safety rules at all times.
• Assist with the maintenance of accurate files and records of all maintenance projects.
• Maintains and repairs facilities and equipment as directed.
• Responsible for the corps landscaping including lawn, trees, bushes, gravel upkeep, sidewalk and walkway clean up, etc.
