Job summary

The Salvation Army Apache Junction Corps is seeking a reliable part-time cleaning associate. You will maintain cleanliness of restrooms, offices, kitchen, fellowship hall, chapel, and other common areas, while following established schedules and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities include monthly maintenance of floors and fixtures, inventory of cleaning supplies, and assisting with event setups. A high school diploma or GED is required, with the ability to lift up to 20 lbs and pass a background

• Understand and follow instructions for equipment and cleaning products.

• Maintain a cleaning schedule for common spaces (restrooms, offices, kitchen, fellowship hall, chapel, etc.).
• Monthly cleaning and maintenance of floors, windows, lights, vents, etc.
• Maintain inventory of supply closet and restock as needed.
• Routinely change liners on trash receptacles.
• Set up and break down for meetings and events; assist with holiday duties.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
• Must be a service minded team player with the ability to work independently and show initiative
• Required to successful pass a criminal background check
• Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs
• Understand and carry out instructions related to the use of equipment and cleaning products and the safe use
• Ability to work within established policy guidelines and accept directions and follow instruction

Responsibilities

• Maintain a cleaning schedule to ensure common use spaces – restrooms, offices, kitchen, fellowship hall, chapel, hard surfaces – are cleaned, sanitized, and ready for program use
• Monthly cleaning and maintenance of floor bases, windows and sills, light fixtures, vents, etc.
• Maintain inventory of supply closet
• Routinely change liners on trash receptacles
• Break down of extra boxes as deemed necessary
• Clean off / organize patio each week
• Pick up trash around exterior of buildings as needed
• Set up and break down for meetings
• Coordinate with Social Service Admin Assistant for seasonal cleaning
• Additional duties during the holidays as assigned
• Other duties as assigned to assist in the function of the organization
