Job summary

Knife River is seeking a welder maintenance technician to handle welding and related maintenance across sites. Typical hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with adjustments for weather and demand.

Qualifications

Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain one.
Must have own hand tools.
Basic knowledge of hand tools, drill presses, grinders, saws, related fabricating, maintenance and safety equipment.

Responsibilities

Perform all welding and related maintenance for all areas.
Lay out and arrange parts and different types of fabrication.
Set machines to perform welding operations, including stick, aluminum, and wire feed welding.
Set equipment to perform cutting operations.
Operate a motor vehicle.
Enforce safety rules and regulations (Federal, state, local and company policies).
Performs other duties as assigned.
