Knife River Corporation is seeking a Maintenance Technician to mechanically maintain and fabricate plant equipment, ensuring uptime and quality. The role involves preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, welding, and fabrication with a strong safety focus.

You will work closely with supervision, coordinate parts supply, and operate plant systems as needed, including night or overtime shifts to keep operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and physical.
• Willing to work overtime and be flexible with hours (daytime/nighttime).
• Must have a 'safety first' attitude and adhere to safety requirements and procedures.
• Previous equipment maintenance and operation preferred.
• Able to respond to emergency breakdowns with short notice and work extended hours.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair plant equipment to maximize production.
• Identify and repair mechanical failures; implement preventative maintenance.
• Operate cutting torch and perform welding tasks.
• Dispatch trucks using Apex load out system.
• Ensure compliance with MSHA, OSHA, EPA, and DNR safety/environmental rules.
• Print plant reports and related documentation.
