Job summary

Knife River is seeking a Maintenance Technician to mechanically maintain plant equipment, fabricate parts, and implement preventative maintenance. The role emphasizes safety and reliability to maximize production.

You will troubleshoot and repair equipment, weld and fabricate as needed, and coordinate with supervisors to ensure timely parts and service. Applicants should have strong mechanical skills, welding ability, and the stamina to perform in varying conditions.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of plant operation, conveyor systems, and maintenance.
• Must have good mechanical, troubleshooting, and some welding ability.
• Fabrication and plumbing skills/knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and fabricate plant components.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment to maximize production.
• Operate cutting torch and perform welding tasks as needed.
• Dispatch trucks using Apex load out system and complete plant reports.
