Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a skilled welder to fabricate and erect metal structures, perform TIG, ARC and MIG welding, and read blueprints in a fast-paced environment. You will operate varied hand and shop tools, set up equipment, and ensure parts meet layout specs with close tolerances.

The role requires reading blueprints, using calipers and micrometers, and performing machining tasks as needed. First shift work is available at our Oklahoma facility, with strong adherence to Tyson’s safety culture

Qualifications

• Industrial Technology degree or related field, or 1 year experience.
• Ability to weld pipe and read schematics/blueprints.
• Strong communication and teamwork to support Tyson's safety culture.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate/erect tasks using metal (steel, stainless, galvanized).
• Perform TIG, ARC, and MIG welding.
• Operate hand and power tools and shop equipment.
• Weld in multiple positions (flat, vertical, horizontal, overhead).
• Read blueprints and quantify with calipers/micrometers.
• Set up welding/fabricating equipment per plans or instructions.
• Inspect parts for defects and ensure conformance to specs.
• Perform machining (lathe, drilling, tapping) as needed.
• Maintain shop tools and safety practices.
