Job summary

Hecla Mining Company seeks a Maintenance Training Supervisor to oversee SOP development and training programs for all maintenance tasks and equipment at the Idaho site, including mobile, fixed plant, electrical and mill operations. You will lead classroom and hands-on training, coordinate with foremen to identify trainers, and maintain training records and compliance with safety standards.

Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent, 5 years in the industry (underground mining preferred),

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of operational experience in industry; underground mining preferred.
• Proven ability to develop, implement, and supervise training programs and SOPs.
• Strong safety leadership and compliance with MSHA standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop, administer, and maintain maintenance training plans and programs.
• Lead classroom and hands-on training for maintenance staff.
• Coordinate with foremen to identify trainers and training needs.
• Maintain training records, sign-in sheets, and training matrix updates.
• Ensure consistent, compliant training across tasks and equipment.
• Perform underground equipment training for new hires.
• Audit training paperwork for compliance and effectiveness.
• Stay updated on equipment or task changes requiring SOP revisions.
