Job summary

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• 5 years’ minimum operational experience in industry, underground mining experience preferred.
• Prior training experience preferred.
• MSHA blue card certification preferred.
• Demonstrated safety leadership.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain maintenance training plans and programs.
• Conduct classroom and initial maintenance training.
• Identify and develop trainers with maintenance leadership.
• Assess training needs with foremen and supervisors.
• Manage train-the-trainer program for hourly and salaried staff.
• Schedule training for new employees across all maintenance areas.
• Create training outlines and materials as needed.
• Ensure consistent training for all tasks and equipment.
• Provide underground equipment training for new hires.
• Track and audit training completion, retraining, and observations.
• Audit training paperwork for regulatory compliance.
• Complete SOPs/Policies updates following MOC process.
• Perform risk assessments before SOP updates.
• Maintain training records and matrices.
• Review trainer paperwork for compliance.
• Complete 5000-23s for final evaluation.
• Coordinate task training requests and scheduling.
• Assist with Annual Refresher Training development and delivery.
