Job summary

Heidelberg Materials North America is seeking a high‑aptitude Maintenance Technician to join night shift operations at our Downingtown area plant. You will assist with routine maintenance and repair of plant equipment, learn to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems under supervision, and support safety and efficiency across operations.

This role requires strong attention to detail, teamwork, and a commitment to safety, with shift work from 4:30pm to 4:30am and a union benefits package

Responsibilities

• Assist with routine maintenance and repair of plant equipment and machinery on night shift, 4:30pm-4:30am.
• Fuel equipment, put DEF, check speed reducers, change shaker oil etc.
• Learn to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems under supervision.
• Support preventative maintenance tasks to ensure operational efficiency.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with safety standards.
• Participate in training programs to build technical skills and knowledge.

Conditions of Employment

• Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check
• Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing

Work Environment

• Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level
