Job summary
State of Florida Department of Transportation is seeking a Highway Maintenance Tech Coordinator in Perry, FL. The role entails coordinating maintenance activities, supervising crew members, and operating/inspecting various equipment to maintain highways and bridges.

Qualifications
- Knowledge of mathematical calculations.
- Knowledge of standard safety rules and procedures.
- Knowledge of medium/heavy equipment and maintenance.
- Knowledge of crew leading principles and practices.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate maintenance activity of chemical herbicide program and/or highway signs.
- Plan workloads, timelines and resources; maintain daily crew activity reports.
- Supervise and direct work of employees.
- Operate and inspect medium/heavy equipment; service and minor repairs as needed.
- Perform manual highway maintenance with tools and equipment.
- Train crew in Temporary Traffic Control (Maintenance of Traffic).
- Perform Temporary Traffic Control as required.
