Bender Companies in Woodridge, IL is seeking an Apartment Maintenance Technician to join our on-site team at a value-add multifamily community. You will handle routine maintenance, respond to service requests, and contribute to a clean, safe living environment for residents.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year of apartment maintenance or related experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of apartment maintenance, facilities, or residential construction experience.
• Strong communications skills to interact professionally with residents, vendors, and team.
• Familiarity with basic repairs including plumbing, electrical, HVAC and appliance maintenance.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work independently or with a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine property inspections and address maintenance issues proactively.
• Complete resident service requests promptly and professionally.
• Maintain property grounds and assist in unit turnovers and make-readies.
• Assist in preventative maintenance to extend life of property systems and equipment.
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards, building codes, and company policies.
• Deliver notices and communications to residents as directed by management; participate in on-call schedule.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24-$27 per hour

Schedule:

8AM to 4:30 PM (however hours may vary)Monday to FridayOn callWeekends as needed

What you will be doing:

As a Maintenance Technician at Bender Companies, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day operations and overall upkeep of the community. You willbe responsible forensuring that all maintenance tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standard.

In this role, you will collaborate with the maintenance team to address service requests, perform preventative maintenance, and contribute to creating a well-maintained, comfortable living environment for our residents.

Core responsibilities include:

• Perform routine property inspections toidentifyand address maintenance issues proactivelyComplete resident service requests and work orders promptly and professionallyMaintain property grounds by removing trash, leaves, branches, and other debris to keepcommon areasclean and attractiveSupport the completion of unit turnovers and make-readies, including painting, repairs, and cleaning as neededAssistin preventative maintenance efforts to extend the life of property systems and equipmentEnsure all workcomplies withsafety standards, building codes, and company policiesDelivernotices and communications to residents as directed by managementParticipate inanon-call schedulefor after-hours maintenance emergenciesPerformadditionalduties as assigned

This position will require you to work on-site at the property in Woodridge.
