General Mills, Inc. in Joplin, MO, is hiring a Maintenance Technician for 2nd shift (3:00 pm–11:30 pm) on a Monday–Friday schedule with overtime as needed. The plant operates 24/7 and focuses on pet food brands under Whitebridge Pet Brands.

You will perform preventive and reactive maintenance on processing and packaging equipment, work with Maximo CMMS, and participate in safety and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Understanding of PLCs and electrical/electronic systems.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical issues.

Our close-knit team of employees thrives in a collaborative, dynamic environment built on safety, teamwork, accountability, responsiveness, and respect—all driven by our passion for making food pets love! **What We Have to Offer*** **$33.00 per hour*** Up to 120 hours (15 days) vacation annually* 11 paid company holidays* Paid time off benefits* 401(k) with company match* Medical, dental, life insurance* Career growth and cross-training opportunities**Your Work Schedule and Shift Information*** **8-hour shifts*** 2nd shift: 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm* Currently hiring for 2nd shift* Monday through Friday schedule with Saturdays as business need dictates* Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, nights, holidays and emergency events as needed* Plant operates 24 hours/day, 7 days/week.**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**As part of our manufacturing team, you will:* Perform preventive and reactive maintenance on processing and packaging equipment to improve reliability and operational performance* Understanding and following all company safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment* Installing, maintaining, repairing, and replacing industrial processing and packaging machinery, work tools and equipment* Identifying/diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical issues, electrical and/or electronic issues* Management of work orders, parts requisition, and data entry through understanding and use of Maximo Maintenance Management System* Providing technical support and plant leadership for equipment troubleshooting and equipment modification* Understanding, initiating, and participating in Root Cause Analysis (Why, Why)* Performing both uptime and down time preventative maintenance* Effectively communicate and productively interact with all levels of team personnel and outside contractors, vendors, visitors, etc.* Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives to increase platform performance* Assist in training new employees**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS*** High school diploma or GED* Must possess the ability to understand and effectively communicate with co-workers, supervisors, and others in the workplace regarding work matters (our business is generally conducted in English)* Minimum of 2 years of industrial maintenance or related industry experience with electrical maintenance experience* Understanding of PLC operation, industrial electrical components and systems troubleshooting* Must have a solid understanding of mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems, ability to diagnose problems, repair or replace components, preventative maintenance and attention to detail* Experience with various tools and technologies, including hand tools, power tools, electrical test equipment and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)* Ability to work independently and as a team with flexibility to quickly shift work priorities* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs* Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, push, pull, and twist for extended periods* Willingness to work in hot, cold, noisy, wet, or dusty conditions* Ability to climb and/or work at heights while utilizing stairs, ladders, personnel lifts, or platforms* Ability to follow human and food safety, quality, and grooming standards* Ability to wear such as protective clothing and equipment (Personal Protective Equipment -PPE) such as safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard/bump cap, hair/beard net, gloves, and face masks (when required)* Ability to work around high-speed machinery and food allergens**ΠΡΟΫΠΟΘΕΣΕΙΣ**Οι υποψήφιοι πρέπει να είναι τουλάχιστον 18 ετών.
