Job summary

General Mills, Inc in Joplin, MO, is hiring for a Maintenance Storeroom Parts Coordinator on the 2nd shift. Starting pay is $19.98 per hour, with an 8-hour shift from 2 pm to 10 pm, and overtime possible.

You will receive, stage, track parts, perform cycle counts, use Maximo, Maintenance Connection, and SAP, and collaborate with engineering to keep the line running while supporting continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 6 months (minimum) of experience in storeroom/parts management and inventory.
• Experience with Maintenance Connection, Maximo, and SAP.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in varying conditions.

Responsibilities

• Receive, stage, track kitted parts and work orders; maintain labels and daily reports.
• Perform daily blind cycle counts and maintain asset and inventory records.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Maintenance Leads on Maximo equipment setup and source OEM parts for cost savings.
• Support receiving by processing deliveries in Maximo, resolving quantity blocks, and filing paperwork.
• Expedite vendor orders, ensure timely parts delivery, and minimize plant downtime.
• Maintain records and generate required reports in a timely manner.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives to increase platform performance.
• Assist in training new employees.

Your Work Schedule and Shift Information

• 8-hour shifts
• 2nd shift: 2 pm to 10 pm

• Currently hiring for 2nd Shift (Monday through Friday shift schedule)
• Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, nights, and holidays as needed
• Plant operates 24 hours/day, 7 days/week.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

As part of our manufacturing team, you will:

• Receive, stage, track kitted parts and work orders; maintain labels and daily reports
• Perform daily blind cycle counts and maintain accurate asset and inventory records, including the SAP Asset Ledger Maintain clean, organized, secure, and 5S-compliant storeroom areas
• Collaborate with Engineering and Maintenance Leads on Maximo equipment setup and source OEM parts for cost savings
• Support receiving by processing deliveries in Maximo, resolving quantity blocks, and filing paperwork
• Expedite vendor orders, ensure timely parts delivery, and build relationships that help minimize plant downtime
• Maintain records and generate required reports in a timely manner
• Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives to increase platform performance
• Assist in training new employees

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or GED
• Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (Maintenance Connection and Maximo) and SAP
• 6 months (minimum) of experience in storeroom/parts management and inventory
• Must possess the ability to understand and effectively communicate with co-workers, supervisors, and others in the workplace regarding work matters (our business is generally conducted in English)
• Basic computer skills with the ability to use digital tools and systems to complete daily work tasks
• Experience in manufacturing/production environment strongly preferred
• Forklift experience (counterbalance/sit down) preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, push, pull, and twist for extended periods
• Willingness to work in hot, cold, noisy, wet, or dusty conditions
• Ability to climb and/or work at heights while utilizing stairs, ladders, personnel lifts, or platforms
• Ability to follow human and food safety, quality, and grooming standards
• Ability to wear such as protective clothing and equipment (Personal Protective Equipment -PPE) such as safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard/bump cap, hair/beard net, gloves, and face masks (when required)
• Ability to work around high-speed machinery and food allergens
