Job summary

Timberland Partners in Howell, MI is seeking a Maintenance Technician to own general upkeep, unit turns, and preventative maintenance for a 131-unit property. You will handle resident work requests, preserve curb appeal, and ensure a safe, welcoming environment.

Responsibilities include completing make-readies, repairs, and inspections, with on-call shifts and a property-focused safety culture. The role requires 2+ years in maintenance, HVAC/Plumbing knowledge, and a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of general maintenance experience, residential maintenance experience preferred.
• EPA universal license for HVAC preferred.
• CPO license preferred.
• Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment, plumbing, electrical, major appliances.
• Experience with turnover “make-ready” of apartments.

Ready to join Team Timberland? Westbury is hiring a Maintenance Technician for our 131-unit property in Howell, MI. You’ll play a key role in providing an outstanding living experience for our residents by taking ownership of general upkeep, unit turns, and preventative maintenance.

Responsibilities:(include, but are not limited to)

• Deliver timely, high-quality results for resident work requests and day-to-day community maintenance needs.
• Take pride in curb appeal by keeping grounds, amenities, and common areas above quality standards, ensuring a welcoming environment residents are proud to call home.
• Identify and resolve potential safety or upkeep issues, serving as a trusted set of eyes and ears to protect the property and its residents.
• Execute seamless make-readies, repairs, and final checks so new residents walk into a flawless home on day one.
• Provide reliable emergency support on a rotating on-call schedule, ensuring peace of mind for residents when urgent issues arise.
• Champion a culture of safety by following all industry procedures, protecting yourself, your teammates, and the community.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 2+ years of general maintenance experience, residential maintenance experience preferred
• EPA universal license for HVAC preferred
• CPO license preferred
• Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment, plumbing systems, electrical systems, all major appliances including washer and dryer
• Experience with turnover “make-ready” of apartments
• High school diploma or GED
• Basic computer proficiency preferred

Schedule: Monday - Friday and a rotating on-call schedule (additional stipend compensation provided for on-call shifts).

Compensation and Benefits:

Pay Range: $23.00-$25.00/hr + quarterly bonuses based on property performance and exceptional customer service.
