Job summary

Qualifications

• Combination of education and experience, generally acquired through high school diploma or equivalent plus minimum of two years of trade school or qualified work experience.
• Ability to use and understand electrical test equipment.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented atmosphere with a customer-first attitude.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload to minimize equipment downtime.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
• Basic computer skills; Microsoft Office (Windows, Excel, Outlook).
• Self-motivated, detail oriented with good work habits.
• Must be able to work at heights and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Arc and gas welding, cutting, brazing, silver and soft soldering.
• Interpret blueprints and schematics for machines and buildings.
• Troubleshoot electrical AC/DC circuits with test equipment.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Use shop tools such as lathes, mills, drill presses, saws, grinders.
• Install and relocate equipment; run conduit for electrical services.
• Maintain preventative maintenance programs in assigned areas.
• Repair production equipment with minimal production interruption.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area; comply with DOT/HAZMAT policies.
