Job summary

The Judge Group is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician for a high-speed, billion-dollar food production facility in McDonough, GA. This weekend-shift role runs 6 PM–6 AM Fri, Sat, Sun, and Mon, offering strong pay, overtime opportunities, and a path to long‑term stability.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• 5+ years mechanical/electrical maintenance experience.
• 4+ years in manufacturing (food manufacturing/packaging preferred).
• Experience with boiler/hot water systems.
• Ability to interpret schematics, plans, and O&M manuals.
• Physically able to lift 50 lbs regularly.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant machinery.
• Repair/replace control devices: switches, sensors, pushbuttons, contactors, motor starters.
• Maintain oven components: burners, valves, bearings, scrapers.
• Work on hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical power systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair Allen-Bradley PLCs.
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance.
• Operate metalworking equipment: welders, drill press, grinders, sheet metal tools.
• Monitor and record environmental conditions (e.g., wastewater measurements).
• Collaborate with production, refrigeration, and warehouse teams.
• Assist in developing SOPs and duty cycles for equipment maintenance.
• Participate in plant safety, SQF2000, health, and environmental programs.
• Support boiler and hot water systems maintenance.

• Skilled with electrical meters, maintenance tools, and metalworking equipment
• Experience with boiler/hot water systems
• Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office)
• Ability to interpret schematics, plans, and O&M manuals
• Physically able to stand, bend, climb, and lift 50 lbs regularly
